The brainchild of acclaimed Austrlia-based cookbook author, Jane Webster, The French Table is an immersion into the very best of French culture, language and cooking.  This experience includes 8 days in Jane's privately owned chateau and offers a wonderful exploration into th rich tastes, sights and sounds the incredible region of Normandy has to offer.

The French Table is a truly uniqe holiday experience with everything included from the moment you are picked up in Paris.  All meals, finest wines and champagnes, entry tickets...nothing more to spend.

ITINERARY

Day One

  • 2pm: Guests meet at Hotel Relais Christine: 3 rue Christine PARIS Guests meet in Paris where you will be met by Jane Webster to travel by minibus back to Chateau de Bosgouet.
    Settle into your charming room, explore the Chateau and grounds, enjoy afternoon tea followed by free time.
  • Aperitifs, a full open bar including French Champagne is followed by Dinner in the chateau's magnificent dining room.  The dinner features champagnes that are rarely seen outside of France from small, exclusive houses.

Day 2

  • Breakfast Chateau Bosqouet style: Fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, homemade conservves, compote of rhubarb & apples, freshly brewed coffee and tea and freshly squeezed orange juce.  Then we're off to Market Day in Rouen to shop for today's class at the Vieux Marche where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake in the 15th century.  After the market visit we'll explore Ruen's beautiful old town.
  • In the afternoon it's time to get cooking with Jane in a large country kitchen.  Produced purchased at the markets will be used to create a classic French feast that will be enjoyed together at Chateau Bosgouet.

Day 3

  • Breakfast Chateau Bosgouet style
  • Market day at Deauville, an elegant and swanky seaside town considered to be the 21st arrondissement of Paris.
  • Lunch at notable auberge before returning to Bosgouet via a Calvados Farm
  • Dinner tonight at Restaurant Gill in Rouen

Day 4

  • Breakfast at Bosgouet
  • Market Day at Honfleur
  • Full day excursion to the artist's paradise at Honfleur, located on the Seine estuary, a seductively pretty port village with narrow winding streets - free time here for the afternoon!
  • Lunch at Sa Qus Na
  • Early evening return to Bosgouet
  • Supper at Bosgouet

Day 5

  • Breakfast at Bosgouet
  • Visit Le Bec Hellouin
  • Lunch at restaurant that prides itself on regional fare and is housed in typical Norman half timbered buildings
  • After lunch there is ample time to wander in beautiful villages and browse the delightful boutiques and antique shops.
  • Return to chateau for 2nd class with Jane before early evening champagne tasting at chateau Bosqouet followed by dinner.

Day 6

  • Breakfast at Bosgouet
  • Excursion to Etretat, an elegant resort famed for the grandeur of its high cliffs and the amazing rock formations that rival the cliffs of Dover.  Walk along a beach of crashing waves and explore the town that has inspired many famous writers and artists such as Maoupassant, Alexandre Dumas, Andre Gide, Victor Hugo and Claude Monet.
  • Picnic lunch at Etretat 
  • Afternoon return to Bosgouet
  • Dinner tonight at local restaurant

 Day 7

  • Breakfast at Bosgouet
  • A morning visit to Claude Monet's garden at Giverny, stunning during the summer months.  This house with its vibrant yellow kitchen and exceptional collection of Japanese woodblock prints is where he painted his famous water lily masterpieces.  Lunch at Giverny.
  • This evening culminates in a wonderful farewell degustation dinner at a local restaurant in the river Seine.

Day 8

  • After breakfast, farewells and Au Revoirs to new friends and Chateau Bosgouet
  • Guests are returned to Paris to Hotel Relais Christine.
  • The price is $7500 twin share (single supplementary $1500).
